MISSION STATEMENT
Brite Leadership Collaboration–East New York (BLC-ENY) is committed to collaborating with established community organizations and individual organizers to strengthen and empower the East New York community. Together, we work to expand access to quality education, dependable health and wellness services, economic opportunities, and clean, safe, and affordable living conditions.
Through community partnerships, civic engagement, sports, and recreational programs—including pickleball—we connect children, adults, and seniors with resources and opportunities that support healthier, more secure, and successful lives. Our mission is to unite local leaders and residents around practical solutions that create lasting, positive change throughout East New York.
Linden Park, also known as Gersh Park, is our home court, where we proudly serve as the longest-standing park volunteer organization in East New York and Central Brooklyn.

OUR STORY OUR TEAM
Founded in the heart of East New York, Brite Leadership Collaboration ENY was born from a vision to bridge the gap between youth and civic leadership. We believe that Pickleball is more than a sport—it is a catalyst for civic engagement and a platform for community empowerment.
Our journey began with a simple mission: to provide inner-city youth with the tools to lead, the education to succeed, elder mentioship and the community to thrive. Today, we continue to expand our reach across New York State, fostering a legacy of leadership and resilience.
Unity in Action:
VINCENT RON RIGGINS
PRESIDENT

With decades of heart-led service as the longest-tenured NYC Parks volunteer in East New York and central Brooklyn, authored the only resolution against Stop n Fisk as Co-chair of CB 5 Public Safety Committee (Chair A. T. Mitchell). Vincent Riggins has seen our neighborhoods shine when we invest our time.. By uniting the wisdom of our seniors with the energy of our youth through Pickleball, he is building a brighter future. Our goal is to cultivate world-class champions right here at Linden Park, proving that East New York’s potential is limitless. Join us and be the spark don't stay in the dark.
Vincent Ron Riggins brings heart, hustle, and a hands-on spirit to East New York. As president of the Brite Leadership Coalition/ENY, a Brooklyn Community Board 5 member, and a leader in its public safety and parks committees, he has championed safer streets, stronger neighborhoods, and parks people can take pride in. His work includes community cleanup initiatives and police-accountability advocacy, and earned him a 2016 Man of Distinction Award from the Brooklyn Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs.
Now, Vincent is bringing that community spirit to the pickleball court, with a vision for Linden Park that pairs the wisdom of seniors with the energy of young people. His goal is to build friendships, encourage healthy movement, and nurture future champions right here in East New York. For Vincent, every rally is a chance to connect, every player brings possibility, and a stronger neighborhood starts when people show up. His invitation says it all: “Join us and be the spark—don’t stay in the dark.”
